TERMS & CONDITIONS

Reservations & Payment

  • Full payment is collected at the time of booking.
  • All fares are set by the Colorado Public Utilities Commission for intrastate commercial carriers.
  • Prices displayed on the website are estimates. Final fare is confirmed at checkout.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled pickup time: eligible for a full refund less a 10% credit card processing fee, or a full travel credit with no fee (call the office to request a credit).
  • Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled pickup time: non-refundable unless trip insurance was purchased.
  • Travel credits expire one year from the original date of travel and are transferrable.

Trip Insurance

  • Trip insurance costs 20% of the base fare and must be purchased at the time of booking.
  • With trip insurance on a shared shuttle: cancellations are accepted up to 1 hour before pickup for a full refund less the cost of trip insurance.
  • With trip insurance on a private charter: cancellations are accepted up to 3 hours before pickup for a full refund less the cost of trip insurance.
  • Trip insurance is all-or-nothing for parties booking together — everyone must opt in or out.
  • Passengers who travel on any portion of the trip are not eligible for a refund on that portion.

Changes to Reservations

  • Shared shuttle time/date changes are free when requested at least 48 hours in advance.
  • Within 48 hours, changes may be accommodated for flight delays or cancellations; new pickup must be within 72 hours of the original. Direction changes are not permitted under this circumstance.
  • Changes to pickup or drop-off locations may result in fare adjustments.
  • WP→DEN departure passengers must call the office the day before to reconfirm pickup time and location.

Right to Modify Service

  • Home James Transportation reserves the right to change the assigned vehicle. If substituted with a less-expensive vehicle, the customer is entitled to a refund of the fare difference.
  • Home James reserves the right to adjust departure times for safety (weather/road conditions), traffic, or road closures. Every effort will be made to notify affected passengers by phone or email in advance.

Luggage

  • Each passenger may bring 1 large bag, 1 carry-on bag, plus 1 ski/snowboard bag or additional large bag.
  • Excess bags are subject to a surcharge equal to the child fare per additional bag.
  • Oversized luggage (any dimension over 5 ft.) or bike boxes are charged at a base-rate seat per piece.
  • It is the passenger's responsibility to ensure all bags are loaded onto the Home James vehicle.
  • Home James is not responsible for broken items resulting from road vibration, curves, or turns.
  • Items left behind will be shipped at the owner's expense.

Pets

  • Small pets in a carrier that fits under the seat are allowed on shared shuttles at no charge. Please notify us at booking.
  • Larger pets require a certified service animal designation (proof required via email before travel) or must travel on a private charter.

Gratuity

  • A 15% automatic gratuity is added to all private charters and shared shuttle parties of 5 or more.
  • No automatic gratuity is added for parties of 4 or fewer on shared shuttles.

Private Charters

  • One stop of up to 30 minutes is included. Additional time is charged at $95/hour or part thereof.
  • Flight delays: no charge if notified before driver dispatch. Delays of 60 minutes or less after dispatch incur no charge. Beyond 60 minutes: $95/hour after the initial free 60 minutes.
  • Online booking for private charters closes 48 hours before departure; call the office to book closer to departure.

Liability & Weather

  • Home James is not responsible for missed flights due to weather, traffic, or road conditions.
  • Passengers assume responsibility for monitoring road conditions and adjusting pickup times accordingly.
  • In the event of road closures (Berthoud Pass/I-70), Home James will assess options and notify passengers. Home James is not liable for delays or cancellations caused by force majeure events.

Children

  • Children 11 and under ride at half the adult fare.
  • Home James does not provide child car seats. Guardians are encouraged to bring their own. Drivers cannot assist with installation.

Wheelchair & Mobility Devices

  • ADA-compliant collapsible scooters and wheelchairs are transported at no extra charge. Please call the office so we can plan for the required space.
  • Drivers are not permitted to assist passengers in/out of the vehicle due to insurance requirements.
